ECJB, the Emmanuel College Jazz Band, is the newest addition to our ensembles at Emmanuel College. This non-audition jazz band usually rehearses on a Tuesday night in the Old Library during term time. In addition to playing at the end of term concerts the jazz band aims to play at a number of jazz nights in College throughout the year. The Jazz Band occasionally teams up with the the Chorus in concerts - recently the two ensembles came together to produce a popular selection of songs by The Beatles.
Whether you've played Jazz before or not, if you've got even one swing-filled bone in your body, then come along and play. We are particularly interested to here from anyone who would like to refine their solo-ing techniques or any singers that would like to join in (informal audition may be required for singers).
