Emma Orchestra is a non-audition orchestra that is open to all members of the college. The orchestra is primarily made up of Emmanuelites but if anyone else (particularly strings or horns...) wants to play then get in contact with the committee. If you are at all interested in being part of the orchestra, please join the mailing list below.
We rehearse between 8-10pm every Monday during term in the Queen's Building Lecture Theatre, although (assuming the music is going well) one of those weeks is taken up with an orchestra formal! Details of all rehearsals, formals and concerts can be found in the calendar.
We play a varied repertoire from Ravel to Mozart and are happy to take suggestions for next term. If there is a piece of music that you have always wanted to play, of if you are interested in performing a concerto with the orchestra, get in touch with the committee.
